The partnership will enable shared customers of the two organisations to send money from their Mpamba wallets to any MyBucks account and from their MyBucks account to any Mpamba wallet.

According to the bank’s Brand & PR Manager Tidzi Chalamba, MyBucks is excited to partner TNM Mpamba, one of the giants in the mobile money industry with a wide footprint across the country.

“At MyBucks, we believe that in this digital age, we have a vital role to play to ensure that we offer client centred innovations that address the current and ever changing needs of our customers. This partnership with mpamba, is a true testament that we are geared and focused on offering convenient and simplified banking to our clients as they will now be able to easily transfer money quickly from their Mpamba wallet to any MyBucks account and
vice versa in real time,” Chalamba said.

Chalamba emphasised that MyBucks is committed to providing more simplified banking through partnerships and that the bank will continue to seek new ways of simplifying customers’ lives by rolling out more solutions that will leverage off the digital ecosystem for the benefit of its current and potential customers.

TNM’s Head of Brand & Communications, Louis Chipofya said through the partnership TNM Mpamba and MyBucks customers can now transact at any time of the day and from anywhere in Malawi.

“The coming in of MyBucks as one of our portfolio partners opens up a range of new opportunities for customers from both ends. Our mutual customers will enjoy the best of both worlds in terms of the integrations with mobile and digital banking technology,” he said.

Chipofya said the partnership resonates with TNM’s consumer campaign, “NdiZotheka” which aims to empower and create possibilities for Malawians by offering a wide range of edge-cutting and affordable solutions. He added that the partnership will save customers time and money and is backed by the robust ICT network platforms from the two providers.

“The goal is to make financial inclusion real. With TNM Mpamba, different types of payments and transactions are coming on line. As a service, Mpamba has transcended the realms of basic money and airtime transfer to become a trusted payments solution for life’s most critical transactional needs,” he said.
