Police in Kasungu are keeping in custody a 21 year-old man Masau Zambira for injuring his son’s private parts in Kasungu.
This occurred on September 13, 2021at Nkulala village , Traditional Authority Mphomwa.
Facts are that, on the said date the victim had a fight with his friends. When Zambira heard about the fight his son was involved in, he approached the son’s friends to know what had happened for them to beat his son.
The suspect was told that his son stole a car toy from them, a thing which angered him as according to the father has been a habit of his son.
After reaching home, he called his son and asked him about what he had heard from his friends. The son denied and out of anger, Masau took a hoe and hit his son’s private parts, injuring them in the process..
Later, the victim was taken to the hospital where he is receiving treatment as out-patient.
Zambira will appear before court soon to answer the charge of unlawful wounding contrary to section 241 (a) of the penal code.
